Botulinum toxin injections are a safe and effective way to eliminate or reduce the appearance of facial lines and wrinkles due to sun damage and repetitive muscular contractions. Minute quantities are strategically placed in or near the facial muscles responsible for the wrinkles causing gradual relaxation of the muscles starting typically in 2-3 days and peaking in approximately 2 weeks.
